The kids were off from school today for Evacuation Day -- that's the day the Patriots ran the British out of town back in 1776. Really, it's an excuse to have a holiday on St. Patrick's Day.
The kids and I made homemade pretzels. Then we drove through the snowstorm to get to a hockey tournament because the tournament organizers did not have the good manners to cancel the games. It took us nearly two hours to make a trip that usually takes 25 minutes. At least Casey's team won.
