Pilgramage to Cooperstown

This weekend, we took advantage of the Monday holiday and went to Cooperstown, NY: Home of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

We left home Sunday morning and drove to a campground at Glimmerglass State Park on the banks of Lake Otsego.

It was a nice drive through New England and Up State New York, since the sky was sunny and the leaves were turning color.

We pitched our tent,

played croquet,

played baseball (of course!),

went fishing,

and kept tass on game three of the ALDS.

On Monday, glad to have survived a fierce lighting storm during the night, we broke camp and drove to the other end of Lake Otsego and the quaint town of Cooperstown.

Finally, we arrived at the Baseball Hall of Fame, where we spent the whole day. We even left for lunch and went back in the afternoon!
