Snow Wars

10 minutes to make snowballs,
“FIRE!” Out goes the call.
Snowballs whizzing and blurring
Four kids hurrying, hurrying.
Hot chocolate was heated,
Now, the matrix is needed.

Slowing down, time-out called.
Snowballs created, extra walls
Time-in! It’s time to re-begin!
Find shelter behind a tree or bin.
Snowballs fast, this means war.
“More snowballs! MORE! MORE!”

Time goes by, way too fast.
Just five minutes for this to last.
Reserve snowballs go by flying.
The sunlight is slowly dying.
Snowballs hitting, I’m not caring.
Wondering how our team is faring
Last seconds go by way too fast.
The war is over, finally, at last.
