Storm #2: A Good Day To Stay In...

Yesterday, another snow storm -- this time a real Nor'easter -- blew into town.

It was a cold, snowy Sunday morning, just right for sleeping in, hunkering down, keeping warm. Unless, of course, your children play hockey. No reason why we shouldn't gamely venture out and impede the progress of the snow plows!

At 8 am Sunday morning, even the main roads weren't well plowed, and many side roads were were still snow-covered.

Beau's team played a good game, and Beau played an excellent game, himself. But they lost. (You can't see it, but this photo shows that I actually sewed Beau's nameplate to the back of his game jersey before mid-season! Beau is player 14.)

Thankfully, Casey's game was cancelled for the day, so we (eventually) headed home. Noontime and the streets are ... still a mess.

Back at home, our road was well-plowed.

But after spending half an hour digging the car out at 7:30 am, Britt returned home only to have to dig the car back in.

The sidewalks had to wait until after lunch, though.

Trixie, lucky thing, did hunker down: in a down vest.
